What Does Your Golf Car Say About You?
As any golf car enthusiast already knows, golf cars are certainly not “one size fits all.” As they cruise around the green, the RV park, trail, or various neighborhoods around the country, golf cars tell a lot about their owners. So, what does your golf car say about you? And if your golf car still looks generic and boring, maybe it is time to spruce it up a bit.
1. The Boss
This golf car cruises around with an air of importance. It’s a bit more lifted than the other cars, a bit shinier and more sparkly. This golf car has accessories and features brand new to the community and has at least one part that has been exclusively created just for this car. Perhaps it is a custom fiberglass flat screen TV mount or custom bucket seats with “The Boss” embroidered into them. When this golf car owner is asked where they purchased their unique accessory, the reply is usually, “My buddy (so and so) had it custom made for my golf car.”
2. The Avid Golfer
It may be hard to believe, but there are still golf car owners who actually use their cars for golfing. You can spot these die hard golfers by their set up. The fender cooler and golf ball washer will be color coordinated and ready for a round of golf at a moment’s notice. Their car will have several compartments, including an under seat storage tray proudly displaying shiny new golf balls and towels where most golf car owners have dirty batteries. You will always be able to see the avid golfer from afar by the golf ball flag proudly whipping from above the golf car, announcing that golf is this golf car owner’s priority.
3. The Socialite
Usually found in an exclusive RV or gated golf community, the socialite’s golf car is brightly colored with a “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere” theme. Don’t be surprised if a portable margarita maker is neatly tucked under the rear seat kit. And there will decidedly be a rear seat kit. How else would the socialite round up friends for bingo, a day at the pool, or a pickle ball match? When holidays approach, whether it be Memorial Day, Christmas, or July 4th, this golf car will take on a new and festive look with holiday themed side skirts, decals, and lights. Simply put, this golf car is the life of the party.
4. The Sports Fanatic
A rolling billboard for their team of choice, whether college or professional, this golf car owner takes “fan” to a new level. With the team song blaring from the overhead sound system, there is no question about where this golf car will be parked at game time. The body, the seats, even the floor mat seem to vomit with team colors and the golf car wouldn’t be complete without an overabundance of team decals and whipping flags. Warning: Stay far away from this golf car the day after a big loss.
5. The Outdoorsman
Dripping with camo, this golf car can be found creeping down trails and navigating the wilderness. Never the fastest golf car, it can climb hills and rugged terrain unlike any other car in the neighborhood. Usually spattered with mud, this golf car is as rugged as its owner, who loves a good adventure. Conversations around this golf car usually start with, “You should have seen the size of that fish” and “We had to use the winch to get out of there.” For anyone looking for fresh air, natural surroundings, and old fashioned shenanigans, this golf car is the place to be.
Every golf car enthusiast knows what to expect from the owners of these five golf cars. Or maybe, “GASP,” you are one of these owners. Either way, golf cars are a fun extension of their owners’ passions and personalities. What does yours say about you?
