It is that time of year again- Golf Car Parade season! For those of us who live in balmy Florida, we rely on holiday golf car parades to get us into the holiday season. All golf car parades are not created equal and it is important to know which ones should not be missed.
Crystal Beach Golf Cart Christmas Parade
An annual event located in Palm Harbor, Florida, the Crystal Beach Golf Cart Christmas Parade will be held on December 15 this year. Crystal Beach residents take this parade very seriously. You can expect to see endless holiday lights, glittery snowflakes, peppermint themed golf cars and even golf cars driven by Santa himself. Prizes for the best decorated golf car and other giveaways add to the excitement.
6th Annual WG Christmas Golf Cart Parade
Located in sunny Winter Gardens, Florida, this year’s golf car parade will be held on December 16 in the Downtown area. All money raised by the parade will be donated to the Edgewood Children’s Ranch and other local charities. This is a golf car only event and prizes will be awarded for best decorations. Not only are the golf cars decorated, but the roadways of Winter Gardens are, too, making this parade a spectacular display of holiday lights.
Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade
For the 54th year, El Paseo, located in Palm Desert, California, calls on the most creative golf car owners to transform their golf cars for the annual parade. Rather than host the typical Christmas themed parade, the community selects a different theme each year. This year’s parade theme was Celebrating Our Superheroes. Teachers and first responders were among those honored by the decorated golf cars.
Haubstadt Lighted Golf Cart Christmas Parade
The 8th annual golf car and UTV parade will be held in Haubstadt, Indiana on December 2. They expect to have more than 50 entries into the parade. The parade begins at sunset and travels through town to conclude at the town tree. Once the parade is over, the annual lighting of the tree will take place and the town will provide refreshments.
Port Royal’s Annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade
This parade is guaranteed to provide some Lowcountry holiday fun. The Town of Port Royal, South Carolina is sponsoring their 9th Annual golf car parade on December 8. Well lighted golf cars will line the streets of the Old Village and travel through town where there will be a chili cook-off at the end.
Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground Holiday Golf Cart Parade
If you love the magic of Disney but are looking for a smaller holiday event, you won’t want to miss the Ft. Wilderness Golf Cart Parade on Christmas Eve. The guests at Ft. Wilderness carefully plan their golf car decorations and do not ever disappoint. As many as 100 golf cars parade through the resort campground with dazzling holiday displays, mostly Mickey Mouse themed.
