Back in 2008, Tim Martin got a phone call from his friend Carroll Shelby who asked him what he was up to.

“I told him I was thinking about building some golf carts and he said ‘let’s build some Shelby Cobra golf carts’ and we did,” Martin tells MotorTrend. And that is the story of how, today, you can buy an officially licensed gas or electric Shelby Cobra golf cart from Caddyshack Golf Cars in any one of six colors with painted stripes and ultra-suede Shelby logo’d seats.
