Veteran industry leader to continue building momentum and advancing the Low Speed Vehicle dealer community
Sarasota, FL — January 15, 2026 — The Low-Speed Vehicle Dealer Association (LSVDA) today announced that Michael Alexander has been appointed Executive Director and Secretary, effective January 15, 2026. Alexander has served in an interim leadership role since October 2025 and will now continue guiding the Association as it enters its next phase of growth and industry impact.
Since stepping into the role, Alexander has led a rapid transformation of LSVDA, expanding the Association from launch stage to more than 400 dealer members, securing 14 founding supplier sponsors, establishing a national presence at industry trade shows, and significantly increasing LSVDA’s visibility through media, newsletters, webinars, and social channels. He will be meeting with industry professionals at the PGA Show in Orlando, January 21 – 23 at booth # 3697.
“Michael has delivered exactly what the Association needed at a critical moment,” said Brian Rott, Chairman of the LSVDA Board of Directors. “He brought focus, credibility, and momentum. The response from dealers, sponsors, and industry partners has been overwhelmingly positive, and the Board is confident that formalizing his role positions LSVDA for sustained growth and long-term impact.”
Alexander brings more than four decades of experience across the golf car, LSV, and light utility vehicle ecosystem, including executive and board roles with OEMs, suppliers, and industry organizations. He is also a trusted advisor to private equity firms and mid-market companies, with deep expertise in strategy, leadership development, innovation, and regulatory engagement. His work has helped organizations create new product categories, strengthen dealer networks, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the trust of the Board and the outpouring of support from dealers, sponsors, and industry partners,” said Alexander. “What’s been most energizing is seeing how quickly our community has rallied around a shared purpose; improving safety, elevating dealer performance, and responsibly growing the market. The opportunity ahead for our member dealers, OEMs and suppliers is significant, and I’m honored to help lead an organization that exists to serve the people building this industry every day.”
As Executive Director and Secretary, Alexander will continue to focus on expanding dealer membership, growing sponsorship support, strengthening governance, advancing public policy and safety initiatives, and delivering practical tools and best practices that help members grow profitably.
