Julie’s Favorite Wacky Golf Car Products
During my 13+ years in the golf car industry, I have seen a lot of golf car products. Some are essential, like hard parts, and some are aesthetic, like custom steering wheels. Every year I think to myself, “Surely every golf car accessory has already been introduced. How many more accessories could possibly be developed?” But every year I am mistaken. Inspired minds create innovative new additions for our golf cars year after year. Some of the new accessories are complete flops and some have made a permanent mark on the industry.
Here are my favorite wacky golf car products:
Caddy Shift
I love ingenious products that solve real problems, like Caddy Shift. For whatever reason, shifting a golf car requires long arms. As a small woman, I have to lean all the way over just to put my golf car in reverse. Marine Mills developed an extended shifter for EZGO, Club Car, and Yamaha golf cars that makes shifting so convenient. It has been a hot seller for several years and is an inexpensive solution to an annoying inconvenience.
Renew ProtectOriginally developed for RVs and motorcycles, Renew Protect is a fan favorite for restoring dull, lifeless golf car bodies. This magical, proprietary solution is a once a year protectant that restores dull plastics to new. I personally love it because it protects gel coat bodies and plastic fenders from UV fading here in SW Florida. I have also successfully used it on my patio furniture!
Luxury Edition Golf Car Seats
I have always been a huge fan of Suite Seats. Every golf car I have owned has a beautiful customized set of Suite Seats. I thought that no seat could ever be more comfortable- until I saw the Luxury Edition Suite Seat. This ultra plush cushion with diamond tufting and high-end, buttery Ultrafabrics fabric is heaven on earth. If UCU ever decides to make a luxury edition recliner, I will buy one for my living room.
Topsail Bimini Style Sun Top
I think I love this bimini golf car top so much because it reminds me of my younger years when I drove a Jeep Wrangler. I was carefree and adventurous and bimini tops bring it all back. RedDot really captured everything that golf car summer fun should be with this bimini sun top.
The Answer Deluxe Bag Rack
Strech Plastics is known for solving golf car problems with their innovations and The Answer is one of my faves. Need a cooler? No problem. Want a golf bag rack for your rear seat kit? This has you covered. Sand and seed bottles? Check. Club cleaner? Yup, it has that, too. The Answer is simply brilliant and the fact that it sells off our shelves is a testament to that.
It is important to note that all of these products are also proudly made in the USA- just one more reason why they are my faves.
