HAUBSTADT— Haubstadt-based Carts Gone Wild LLC plans to open a second location in Owensboro, Kentucky March 3.
The business, which began in Tony and Dana Hallam’s garage 17 years ago, has grown to a 7,000 square foot showroom in Haubstadt with 19 employees designing and selling more than 6,000 custom golf carts.
The clientele, according to a news release from the company, includes NFL coaches and team owners, NCAA men’s basketball teams, NBA coaches and NHRA drag racing champions.
Carts Gone Wild was named 2014 Gibson County Chamber of Commerce Reinvestment Award business and 2015 Business of the Year.
The business is a dealer for Club Car, Yamaha and StarEV vehicles, and an authorized dealer for Yeti Cooler.
“Opening our second location is one of our proudest moments in life,” said the Hallams. “We’re so excited to become a part of the Owensboro community! The best part of Carts Gone Wild is all dreams, memories and experiences our customers gain from using our products. Many times, we get to design and build someone’s dream ride from scratch. That is the true definition of why we built Carts Gone Wild.”
The new location is at 3000 West Parrish Avenue, next door to Owensboro RV. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned at 12:15 p.m. March 5 to kick off a grand opening event through March 7.
